Departure Day Philosophy
While many of us might want to sleep in, attend church services, or have a leisurely morning coffee and breakfast, we all have to "group depart" on time and as a group. The USAF is bringing their staff in on a Sunday morning just to marshal and tow us out for departure. So please be on time, be packed up and ready to depart before the 0730 Morning Departure Brief. Be cognizant that we are part of a team effort to get our planes safely out of Wright Patterson AFB and on our way in an expeditious manner Sunday am.
Schedule of Events
- (0730) Morning Departure Brief Comfort Suites Hotel Conference Room
- Pay attention to the brief about departing "out of" the Class C and Class D in accordance with the plan previously worked out with ATC / TRACON.
- (0845) Mount Up in Rental Vans from the Comfort Suites Hotel to the USAF Museum
- (0900-1100) Tow or Taxi planes out to RWY
- Start Up / Take Off as Briefed, Museum Fly Bys as Briefed, then Head for Home!
